I Paid How Much to See This??

You know, I make it a rule of thumb never to leave a game before the end. Tonight, I admit it- I left early. The only thing I remember is a score of 7-1, and Caps fans actually expecting another goal to happen at any moment. By the Leafs. Against the Caps. The way things were going, I don't understand why I even bothered to stay when the score was 6-1. Was I expecting some miracle of sorts? The way things were going and the way the Caps were playing, it's a wonder the game didn't end with a more pathetic score.

It was ugly. The Caps looked way over played, and to be honest they did not even resemble the team we had been used to seeing this year or even last. I don't know what is going on with our team. They looked so great at the beginning of the season, and now they've gone into one heck of a tailslide. If tonight says anything about our upcoming games I don't want to even think about what to expect this coming week.

Oh, and let me give you the quote of the night, overheard following the 3 goal flurry in the Second Period- "If I was at home, I would have just changed the channel."

Yep, that pretty much sums up most fan's emotions right now.
